Before going on a full-fledged diving or swimming activity, some people put their toes or hands in the water first to check for the temperature. Is it too warm or too cold? Is it inviting or ominous?

You want to try different things, gather many experiences, and have the full experience the human life has to offer; but sometimes, your mindset prevents you from doing so. We want a lot of things but we have so many excuses and so many ways of avoiding that which has to be done. This procrastination has to end with you.

Trust in God and Test the Waters

Take that inner spark and turn it into fire. Don’t just keep wishing. God is not a genie. God is God. A genie grants wishes. God is a loving Father who wants His children to get the best of everything; but He also wants His children to learn while letting them have the free will to decide how they’re going to get that happiness. He will support you every step of the way, but first, you have to know what you want.

Stop dreaming, instead, start planning. Make goals, not wishes, and you can turn your dreams into reality. There is a saying that goes, “Don’t be like the man who only dipped his toes and said he went swimming.” That is not the full experience but merely a slight taste. If you have the hunger for success, then start tasting victorious moments by accomplishing small goals and get yourself on the road headed to where you should be with your gears running high.

Don’t be afraid to test the waters. Peter, himself, tested them and became afraid; but because of his faith, the Lord stretched forth His hand to save him. They walked on water together, as should we with the Lord. Take the risk and TRUST HIM!
