The Lord says, “The people you associate with are the prophecy of what you are becoming.” Who are the people you associate with? Are they leading you towards righteousness?

“The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.”

-Proverbs 12:5-7

The people whom you surround yourself with can affect your future. Sometimes, you may feel compelled to adjust your thinking or your choices in order to fit in with that of the people around you. We often do not realize it, but our decisions are mostly affected by external influences, especially people’s opinion. Thus, choosing to keep the right people in your life is very important and necessary for your future.

There are times when you have to cut off certain relationships due to the fact that they influence negative thinking within you. Instead of becoming helpful, they can bring you down even further. Though it may be difficult to determine which people bring you negative influence, it is always easy to come to God for wisdom and discernment.

The Bible says:

“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.”

1 Corinthians 15:33-34

It is time for a SPRING CLEANING of individuals who have been influencing negative thinking in your life!

Some people do not have knowledge of God; therefore, not everyone can lead you to righteousness. Some can lead you to sin, or even influence you into putting yourself at risk and in physical danger. But when you surround yourself with GOOD PEOPLE, you allow righteousness to flow in your midst and God’s blessings shall be poured out upon you.
