“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

God gives His children gifts. One of the most precious gifts given to us is time.

How do we know the proper timing of things? We never really know when the right time is to say a few words, to keep silent, to be married, to get sick, to die, we never really know. Therefore we have to ACT.

How do we spend our time well? Here are 3 tips:

  1. Keep a record – Whether it’s a journal, diary, logbook or even just a mere list that helps you remember the things you do. Write it down so that you may be able to check yourself and evaluate what you do everyday and then judge which habits are worth keeping and which ones you have to say goodbye to.
  2. Set Goals – Always have something to look forward to. When we set goals, we are continuously striving to see it through. We all have that sense of accomplishment when we set something as a goal, no matter how small and especially how big some goals are for us. Goals don’t have to be big, such as getting a Masters Degree or buying a new car. They can be as simple as you finally making your bed  on your own seven days in a row. Or you were able to declutter that desk you’ve been thinking about for so long. Little goals and big goals that help you slowly but steadily take control of your life.
  3. Cherish the moment- Time doesn’t always have to go by so fast. We don’t have to be the ultimate achiever. We need to be able to take things slow and sometimes just take a deep breath and enjoy that sunset or the company of a really close friend. It’s not only self goals, but the time we spend with others that make the joys of living glow a little brighter.

Try to live a little more, love a little harder and stress less. Time was made for man. God wants us to be happy so take that time and make the most out of it.
